Brian Rosenwald and Conservative Media

With Stephen Bannon of Breitbart joining the Trump campaign, the links between conservative media and politics is strikingly evident. Where did the conservative media establishment emerge from? How important has the conservative media been for conservative politics and the Republican Party?

For episode 18, Professor Brian Rosenwald (University of Pennsylvania) discusses the history of conservative media and politics. Rosenwald is working on his first book, on the rise of talk radio and politics in the United States, under contract at Harvard University Press. He is also the researcher for the Slate podcast Whistlestop, bringing campaign trail histories to life.
